A state lawmaker who has been working on siting a river port in Southeast Indiana assured a town hall meeting last month that “it will happen.”
“You don’t get to the point where the governor announces it unless everyone is comfortable it is going to happen,” Rep. Randy Frye, R-Greensburg, said told a Dillsboro audience on Feb. 6.
Rep. Frye said that “because it’s been talked about for 30 years,” he’s heard skepticism about Gov. Mike Pence’s announcement in his Jan. 12 State of the State address that plans for a river port in Southeast Indiana are underway.
